I am not sure how much information you already have, but I assume you have his service record.

You can obtain the Operations Record Book for the squadron for that period from the National Archives, which will provide you with a diary of events, including missions undertaken. You will need to obtain Form 540 (Monthly Summary) and Form 541 (Daily Summary) for the period you are researching.

I do have information on Flight Engineer training during that period if you are interested. Do you know if he trained at RAF St Athan or RAF Locking and St Athan?

Regards

Pete

I am the daughter of Frederick William Eldrett,  from his first marriage.  I would also love any information on my father. I only know that he was stationed in Cambridge.  Any help would be so appreciated.

Kind regards,

Sheelagh Eldrett
