I am trying to find out any information on my dad (Fred Eldrett) who served as flight engineer in 1943-1944 with 115 Squadron, and any other crew members.
I am not sure how much information you already have, but I assume you have his service record.
You can obtain the Operations Record Book for the squadron for that period from the National Archives, which will provide you with a diary of events, including missions undertaken. You will need to obtain Form 540 (Monthly Summary) and Form 541 (Daily Summary) for the period you are researching.
I do have information on Flight Engineer training during that period if you are interested. Do you know if he trained at RAF St Athan or RAF Locking and St Athan?
Regards
Pete

- Aircrew Training WWII (Basic / Trade / Operational)
- No. 35 Squadron [From Thetford to Scampton]
[Always looking for COPIES of original documents / photographs etc relating to these subjects]
I am the daughter of Frederick William Eldrett, from his first marriage. I would also love any information on my father. I only know that he was stationed in Cambridge. Any help would be so appreciated.
