James,

If he flew with Rollo Kingsford Smith, then he would have been in, either 467 or 463 squadron. Kingsford Smith was posted to 467sqdn on 2nd October 43, until 25th November 43, when he moved to 463sqdn. These dates will give you an idea of which dates to lok around in the books.  The ORB's (Operations Record Books) are open to view, from the NAA's website.

463sqd ORB  link.....    recordsearch.naa.gov.au/scripts/Imagine.asp?B=1359216

467sqdn link....    recordsearch.naa.gov.au/scripts/Imagine.asp?B=1191790

Other than that, if you enter your grandfathers service number  400131 in the search engine on the NAA site, you will get a link to his ervice record, which you can request to be digitised for viewing, or to request a copy for yourself. His service record will tell you the units he served with.

Alan.

I am the grandson of Arch Fraser who was a Flight Lieutenant with RAF - discharged on 31 May 1945.

Pop flew a number of missions under Bomber Command from the UK across Germany.  I recall seeing some years ago records that he flew with Kingsford Smith.

Anyone with information concerning Pop would be greatly appreciated.

I can be contacted at jthompson@hazeldenes.com.au
