Hi RB,
Your Uncles details can be found on the CWGC War Graves Project
http://twgpp.org/information.php?id=593158 the only additional information this gives is that he was a W.Op./Air Gnr

The only other search you will also already know about and that is concerning his family tree that must have been done by a relative.

It may be worth posting on the Short Sterling Forum

Hope this is of some help.
Regards,
Gary

Hi RB,

According to Chorley's book They were flying W6086 'J MacRoberts Reply' and took off from Waterbeach when one engine failed, while seeking to make an emergency landing the pilot lost control and crashed heavily at 2100hrs into Oakington village, Cambridgeshire and not far from the local airfield. As you may know your uncle is buried in Cambridge City Cemetery.

Regards,

John.
