Dear community, 

A friend of mine recently found some remains of a Lancaster Bomber in southern Germany.

The attached images are showing the left-overs of the German-Luftwaffe.

He is unsure about the red-signal. Both of us thing it is a light signal but I was thinking about raising the question here,

since we may get some more information about this plane. Also to be aware of how carefully we have to handle it.

I am trying to contact him for precise location information to refine the assumptions here.

It would be greatly appreciated if we were to know what exactly he found.
