Hi Steve,

Halifax JB789 belonged to 1658 HCU (Heavy Conversion Unit) RAF Riccall. Previously 158 Squadron but cannot find any aircraft code.

Thanks for that its just that the flight engineer was my mums friend RAF Sgt derrick McDermott. he flew in her that nightand died with all the crew.iI'm trying to find out how they came to hit st james spire.as going to build a model of plane a attribute.thanks again steve
