Hi all.

Myself and my wife attended the International Bomber Command Centre unveiling of the memorial walls and spire in Lincoln U.K. on the 2nd of October. This place is wonderful, the people involved are special with their knowledge and expertise, the walls are constructed of 120 panels made of steel with 26,500 names of the fatalities (kIA) who served with Bomber Command flying from Lincolnshire their names are cut into the steel, the spire is made of the same material and represents the wingspan of a Lancaster. The event was attended by around 1,500 people with 300 veterans from around the world, great guys with lots of tales to tell. I flew in from Cyprus to attend the event and I found my Father,s name which made me proud. The Centre is only half finished. If any of you Would like to see more,021.JPG Visit their web site www.internationalbcc.co.uk or post me, they have an archive office which hold lots of info; from this area groups 1 and 5, 27 bomber stations.
