as Ricky7 has not visited since July 3. And I have left a whiteboard message on the profile, could a forum moderator please send an email to make Ricky7 aware of my replies to the DFC post.
There is a big story developing on the crew of Bitter Sweet and I will one day post it with photos and documents.
Does the forum notify the member by email if their whiteboard has a message?
Moderators please help you have the email Patricia registered with, this is more than just some information about her Father it's bringing the children of this British, Australian and Canadian crew together something I think if there fathers knew was going to happen 71 years ago would have made them very proud.
Each of these men has a remarkable story, 3 of them met a year before in training in Canada and contrived to fly together in 299 Squadron at RAF Wethersfield. at least two got married here in the UK.
If anyone else can find Patricia please help I'm sure will appreciate it as 6 months ago she obviously was motivated to find out about her fathers WW2 history.

Contact was made and Ricky7 has learned much more and shared Photos and Documents and become a member of the Bitter Sweet Club which now has relatives of 4 of the crew as members and Tony Purcell the WO who is alive and well in Australia. I know Buckler died in 2005 but can find no info on Judd.
Here is a slideshow about Bitter Sweet that will be in my Dropbox during the month of February. I do have a description for each photo.
you need to cut and paste the full link into the address bar. Ricky7's Father and his English WW2 bride in the second from last slide. The other wedding here at Wethersfield was the Navigator also from Australia.
