Can anyone tell me the fate of Flt.Sgt Perini of 405 Squadron?
On the night of Nov 2/44 the Hannah crew were part of an attack on Dusseldorf in Lancaster K for King. They were hit by flak and Hannah was badly wounded and the aircraft was out of control. The bomb aimer managed to pull Hannah from the pilots seat and, amazingly, got the aircraft back to England, where they crash landed safely at Debden.
Flt. Sgt Perini baled out shortly after the aircraft was hit by flak. I dont know his position in the crew, and would like to find out if the survived as a POW. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers, Clint.

Oliver Clutto-Brock's book "Footprints on the sands of time" has F/Sgt E E Perini captured and sent to Stalag Luft VII and his pow number was 1208 after bailing out of Lancaster PB413 from 405 Sqn on 2 November 1944.
I am researching a book, and your Dad and mine served together at 405 Squadron. I did phone you a while back, but you were unavailable and I neglected to try again.
If your interested in sharing your Dad's story, I would love to hear more. You can reach me at clintdotcoffeyatgov.bc.ca
