On August 13th, 1944 my Dad and his crew took off on a training flight from Gransden Lodge, home of the 405 PFF Squadron. My Dad's logbook list a mystery passenger on the flight, a Pilot Officer Jowsett. The 405 Squadron records don't list anyone by this name, so perhaps a visitor of some kind? Can anyone offer any clues as to his identity or reason for being on board? He can't be an "erk" with that rank, so I am at a loss.
