My name is Mark Anderson from Sydney , Australia. My uncle,  Robert Byron Pattison, was a Lancaster pilot in 625 squadron and later 170. I am keen to find out more about his war service.  I  still find it hard to believe that as a 24 year old he was able to do what he did. He has my greatest admiration.

Hi Mark,

If he was an Aussie you can get his file from the archives in Canberra. I am overseas at the moment and will be back on the 21 May Ill have a look then for you.

Have you searched the online National Archives of Australia.  You can search his service number '420909' in the keywords box at the link below.
