Totally agree. Get rid of the dross and inappropriate posts it adds NOTHING and has no place on here. Its likely some sick bunch of puppies that think its a laugh trying to wind up relatives of dead or ex servicemen who in some cases gave their all when the country called.

Totally agree. Have been monitoring said website with a veiw to posting some serious bomber command question but have been put off by all the offensive postings. ALSO, how is it there is a 'members' login when anyone can post anything, reply or start new subjects, without having to register. This reply is being written without me having to log in or be a member. It makes it easier for low lifes to destroy what could be a very informative website. Need to A, delete on a daily basis the trash, and B, nobody should be able to post anything without being a registered member. There is no other forum out there where this is possible.

I did have to log in when I posted my reply. Please post your serious question(s), we should let the sick puppies win on this one. I can only speak from my experience but a couple of years ago when I was researching my uncle who was killed, this forum was invaluable. This of course makes it all the more irritating that we get this dross on here.

I'll see how it goes, and well done for the quick response Gazza. When you log in, it appears the only difference is that your user name appears, and if you don't, such as me now, you appear as 'anonymous'. There are as many forum posts from people to complain about the rubbish as there are about the actual rubbish posts, and yet the 'mods' have done nothing which shows a level of inactivity which is discouraging. Another thing I noticed, why are people posting their actual email addresses on a public forum, which leaves them open to abuse, instead of PM (private message) facility ? Have a nice day Gazza. I will continue to monitor for signs of improvement.

Can anyone tell what is going on with this website please ? I am trying to register, to post a bomber command question, but I am unable to so. No link to email is sent for registration, and no response from anyone. Has this website been abandoned totally ?

I agree this is frustrating, I don't understand either why the inappropriate stuff can't be removed. Someone must have control??

However, this site has been invaluable to me, so I won't give up on it....the trolls will get bored and move somewhere else I suppose....

Coffey, its not only the inappropriate stuff, but the fact that I cannot even register to post a question. I don't want to do it as 'anonymous'. The process for registering is not working and there are no administrators to sort it out. So I guess I'll have to press on regardless, and find another website to post a 166 Squadron question and photo. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I also seem to recall Matt posting "somewhere" that he no longer had access to the guts of this forum.
