Once you've got a proper seating area out there it changes how you use the garden completely. You actually want to be outside instead of just looking at it through the window. The trick is finding furniture that doesn't fall apart after one winter or fade to some grim grey colour by July. I've seen loads of that trendy rattan stuff that looks brilliant in the shop but starts falling to pieces after a few months outside. Then there's metal furniture with proper cushions, holds up way better and you're not dealing with wood that splinters or goes mouldy every winter.
